Brantley L. Carter

Currently, Brantley L. Carter is an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the Brooklyn Tort Division of the New York City Law Department. He defends the City of New York in numerous personal injury and property damage lawsuits. He graduated from St. John’s University in 2014 and Vermont Law School in 2019. While in law school, he was awarded Best Petitioner’s brief for the Vermont Law School Debevoise Moot Court Competition, was a semi-finalist for the American Bar Association’s 10th Annual First Amendment and Media Law Moot Court Competition, and competed in the 2018 Emory Civil Rights and Liberties Moot Court Competition. His volunteer work includes the Sonia & Celina Sotomayor Judicial Internship Program, and The Citadel of Love – Love Wins Community Outreach Program, which includes food, clothing, and annual toy drives for the community.
