Rahul Agarwal is the Deputy Chief Counsel in the Office of the Counsel to the Mayor of New York City. Prior to joining the the Mayor’s office, Rahul served as Deputy Executive Assistant United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey. He also previously worked in private practice, as a litigation associate, at Friedman Kaplan Seiler & Adelman LLP and at O'Melveny & Myers LLP. Rahul also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Esther Salas, U.S. District Judge (then Magistrate Judge) for the District of New Jersey, and the Honorable Jose L. Linares, U.S. District Judge for the District of New Jersey. He received his B.A. in Business Economics and International Relations from Brown University and his Juris Doctorate from Columbia University. Rahul also previously served as the President of the South Asian Bar Association of New York, and Vice-President of Community Outreach for the South Asian Bar Association of North America.
